"Curly Doesnt Like Porridge" Telly is announcing the big event! Curly Bear is going to try porridge for the very first time and Baby Bear is extremely excited. When Curly Bear tries the porridge, however, she spits it out in disgust. Baby Bear is rather upset by this as he feels Curly Bear just has to like porridge. Shes his sister! He tries offering Curly different types of porridge to no avail. She just doesnt like it and Baby Bear feels that maybe that means she doesnt like him. Alan helps Baby Bear understand that even best friends have different tastes for many things and it is the same way with families. Baby Bear and his sister will not be exactly the same and this is not only okay, it is a special part of their relationship. Theme: Global Awareness and Social Interactions. Letter N. Number 3.

"Alans Vacation Replacement" Alan is planning a vacation and he is excited to go away. Big Bird is very upset and cant believe that Alan wont be at Hoopers Store. Nothing will ever be the same again! Alan has advertised that he will be looking for someone to fill in for him when he is gone. Natalie stops by for a glass of juice and ends up making an omelet and singing about it. Alan hires Natalie on the spot and goes off to pack for his trip. Baby Bear and Big Bird have a very hard time adjusting to Natalie replacing Alan, and are anxious about the change. However, they get to know Natalie and she teaches them how some changes can be good changes. They realize that change doesnt always have to be bad. Natalie makes a birdseed milkshake just as Big Bird likes it, with birdseed! Theme: Coping w/ Emotions and Global Awareness. Letter D. Number 17.

"Cinderellas Fairy Godmothers Mistake" Zoe and Baby Bear are very excited because Cinderella and her Fairy Godmother are visiting Sesame Street! However, when it is time for Cinderella to go to the ball, her Godmother accidentally turns Cinderella into a chicken! The Fairy Godmother is distraught. She hands her wand over to Zoe and Baby Bear and leaves! Zoe and Baby Bear decide that they can figure out how to help get Cinderella to the ball. They remember that the Fairy Godmother had said, "Meatballs" three times when she turned Cinderella into a chicken so they try saying various other words to no avail. Finally, they decide to change the way they wave the wand. They wave the wand in a different direction, but this doesnt work either. Finally, they decide that Cinderella really does need her Fairy Godmother and they help her Godmother to realize that its okay to make mistakes and that she can try again. The Fairy Godmother waves her wand and gets it right and Cinderella is Cinderella again, going to the ball. Theme: Coping w/ Emotions and Social Interactions. Letter E. Number 5.

"Little Furry Red Monster Parade" Elmo wants to have a "Little Furry Red Monster Parade" so he begins looking other little and red and furry monsters to join him. He runs into Zoe who wants to join the parade too. Elmo thinks thats a great idea and they start to march before they realize that Zoe is little, furry, but orange. They decide to rename the parade the "Little Furry Red and Orange Monster Parade" and this goes on and on as they run into new friends who want to be in the parade. The name eventually gets much too long as many, many friends join the group. Elmo figures out what to do. He changes the name to the "Anybody Who Loves to March in a Parade" Parade! They all march together. Theme: Social Interactions and The Arts. Letter F. Number 6.

"Elmos Chicken Dream" Elmo had a fun dream about learning a great chicken dance called the "Clucky Clucky," but now that Elmos awake, he really wants to have his chicken dream all over again. Elmo asks various people for help in trying to figure out how to have his chicken dance dream again. Maria tries to help Elmo by singing him a lullaby, but he finds it difficult to fall asleep with all the noise on the street. Then, Rosita tries to help Elmo by singing him a chicken lullaby in Spanish, but he still doesnt have his favorite chicken dream! Finally, Big Bird comes along and shows Elmo a book called, "I Dream of Chicken," which says that in order to dream about a dancing chicken, Elmo has to stare at a dancing chicken right before he goes to sleep. Soon, Bob, who is dressed as a chicken, walks by and agrees to help Elmo. Elmo stares at Bob who is dancing a chicken dance as he is trying to fall asleep. Elmo also asks Rosita to play her chicken lullaby at the same time in order to help him fall asleep faster. Elmo finally falls asleep, and is now back in his chicken dream singing and dancing the "Clucky Clucky!" Theme: The Arts. Letter T. Number 20.

Everybody's Special: There's only one person in the whole world exactly like you just look in the mirror! This week of programs is full of messages helping children appreciate their uniqueness and feel special. Even the raisin-nut sandwiches that Maggie Stewart and Chef Brockett make are all different. There's also a videotape showing how people make dinner plates.

Everybody's Special: Even though identical twins look alike, each one is unique. Exercise teacher, Marilyn Barnett, visits with twins who do "mirror" exercises. Mr. McFeely surprises Mister Rogers with a gift of wooden shoes and a videotape of how people make them. Mister Rogers reads a book with photos of children with disabilities who can do some exercises and not others yet each one is special.

Everybody's Special: All kinds of guitars today! Joe Negri's guitar music adds to the fun of Mister Rogers' book of children wearing animal costumes. Mr. McFeely visits with a video showing how people make guitars, and Mister Rogers playfully strums a delightful new tune on his cardboard guitar.

Everybody's Special: Who does the puppet voices in the Neighborhood of Make-Believe? In another effort to de-mystify his television program, Mister Rogers shows how he works some of the puppets and visits with Lenny Meledandri, who does the voice for Prince Tuesdayand also teaches Italian. In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, Prince Tuesday's friends help him know he is special because of who he is inside, not because of his princely robe.

Everybody's Special: A surprise birthday celebration in the Neighborhood of Make-Believe helps Corney feel special today. Humming into a kazoo, Mister Rogers plays a birthday song and finds out how people make kazoos. Blind musician, Eric Kloss, plays different flutes each with its unique sound.

Artist Eric Orr — a seminal figure in the southern California-based light and space movement of the 1960s — was commissioned to build a large kinetic sculpture that would send magnificent lightning bolts into the sky. This weekly half-hour series will showcase the keen insight and wry humor of journalist Tucker Carlson, a regular on CNNs "Crossfire" and one of the rising stars of the Washington journalism scene. As planned, the program will feature three main elements: a newsmaker interview in which Carlson will talk one-on-one with some of todays headliners; a roundtable with Carlson and some leading commentators and thinkers who span the spectrum of political, social and cultural views; and a commentary by Carlson, replete with his intelligence, incisiveness and wit. Topics for the program will not be limited to politics. Anything that touches Americans and how they live their lives from the poignant to the absurd will be fair game for Tucker Carlson and his colleagues around the table.
