Noon Sesame Street

Monday, June 16
"Baby Bear Worries About His Future Sibling" Mama Bear is pregnant and Baby Bear is slowly realizing all of the changes that will take place when she has the new baby. He begins to worry that he will not be loved as much by Papa and Mama Bear with the new baby in the house. He explains that they are supposed to be the three bears not the four bears. Telly thinks that Baby Bear should be excited about having a new baby in the house. When Mama Bear gets ready to leave for the hospital, Baby Bear is very anxious but his parents console him, letting him know that he'll be going to stay with Gina when Mama Bear is in the hospital for a few days. Mama Bear calls Baby Bear from the hospital to let him know she is okay and Baby Bear begins to relax. He gets to be a big brother! Theme: Coping w/ Emotions. Letter X. Number 17.

Tuesday, June 17
"Curly Bear is Born" Everyone is eagerly awaiting the arrival of Baby Bear's new baby sister. Telly is slightly more anxious than Baby Bear is. Baby Bear is busy designing a picture for the new baby. When Baby Bear finds out the baby has been born and that he gets to go to the hospital to visit he starts to wonder how things will be. As Baby Bear enters Mama Bear's room at the hospital is unsure about what to expect and a little nervous. Baby Bear is amazed at how tiny the baby is! He gets to touch his baby sister's fur and then hold the baby. Baby Bear is very excited! He notices how similar his baby sister is to him. They share many of the same characteristics, but the baby has curly hair. Mama Bear and Papa Bear end up thinking that Curly Bear is a great name! Baby Bear begins to realize how much of the world Curly Bear has yet to see and sings a song about it. Theme: Social Interactions. Letter Y. Number 20.

Wednesday, June 18
"Curly Bear Comes Home" Baby Bear has spent his first night at home with his new little sister, Curly Bear. He is upset about how things are changing. Telly listens as Baby Bear talks about his problems. Baby Bear is upset because nothing was the same at home and all the attention was going towards the new baby. Baby Bear is most upset because Papa Bear always has special time for Baby Bear for just the two of them and he fears this time won't be available. Just as Baby Bear is expressing his fears to Telly, Papa Bear arrives and says that it's time for their special time! Baby Bear feels better and later, when Mama Bear brings Curly to see Baby Bear, Curly starts laughing at Baby Bear and pulling on his ear. Baby Bear may actually be starting to like his cute little sister. Theme: Coping w/ Emotions. Letter Z. Number 4.

Thursday, June 19
"Karaoke Night at Hooper's Store" It's Karaoke night at Hooper's and everyone is getting ready to sing! Telly is extremely nervous about singing and his friend Baby Bear tries to encourage him to participate. The two of them sit and listen as everyone sings their songs. Rosita makes a mistake but keeps going and Telly sees that this is okay. When Baby Bear gets up to sing he gets very nervous and Telly ends up helping his friend and singing along. When the karaoke machine breaks, everyone gets their instruments and they make their own music together, singing until late into the evening. Theme: The Arts & Coping w/ Emotions. Letter N. Number 7.

Friday, June 20
"Elmo Falls In Love With Gina" Elmo takes Dorothy to see Gina for a check-up. While Gina helps Elmo carry Dorothy home, Elmo realizes how wonderful and nice Gina is. He instantly falls in love with her and believes that he wants to marry her. He is overcome by his emotions and wants to tell Gina how he feels but he just can't do it. Rosita helps him find different ways to tell her, but nothing works. Eventually Elmo is able to express his feelings to Gina. Gina explains that she loves Elmo too, but that there are different kinds of love and that 3 year-olds do not marry adults. Elmo understands that he needs to wait and they have a good conversation about it. Theme: Coping w/ Emotions. Letter Q. Number 2.
