1:00PM Mister Rogers' Neighborhood

Monday, April 12
Then and Now: Using food-coloring and water, Mister Rogers does science experiments. There's a mystery in the Neighborhood of Make-Believe: the Trolley is missing, and a tiny trolley is in its place. Mister Rogers helps children understand that people who take care of them want to know they're safe, so they need to know when the children want to go anywhere.

Tuesday, April 13
Then and Now: A shadow artist visits with Mister Rogers. In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, Robert Troll discovers that the Trolley can do tricks of showing photos from the past. After reading the familiar Robert Louis Stevenson poem, "I have a little shadow," Mister Rogers shows a video about how people make light bulbs.

Wednesday, April 14
Then and Now: We have many ways to show people what we're thinking or feeling. One way is through pantomime, and Mr. McFeely delivers a pantomime artist to the Neighborhood. In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, the Trolley shows baby pictures of the characters who live there. Mister Rogers helps a lost dog find its way home again.

Thursday, April 15
Then and Now: Mister Rogers makes paper snowflakes and talks about how unique each snowflake and each person is. Mr.McFeely finds a dead bird and that reminds Mister Rogers of his pet, Sibyl, who died. In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, King Friday reminisces about his feelings when his pet bird died; now his pets are toy birds, who won't die. Mister Rogers helps children with their feelings when a pet or someone they care about has died and helps them appreciate the uniqueness of every living thing.

Friday, April 16
Then and Now: Itzhak Perlman, world-famous violinist, joins Mister Rogers in a rehearsal room and shares some of his magnificent music, as well as some of his feelings about dealing with polio. In the Neighborhood of Make-Believe, Prince Tuesday is amazed to see pictures of King Friday as a boy. However, their story doesnt turn out exactly the way they would like it to since Goldilocks is still eating not only Baby Bears porridge, but also Curly Bears bear milk and honey!
