Have you ever really looked at the Web sites for the Ohio Department of Education or SchoolNet? You'll discover a wealth of information at your fingertips. Let's look at some of the areas you might find useful:

The Ohio Department of Education

  • For copies of the content standards, go to ODE Academic Content Standards at http://ims.ode.state.oh.us/ode/ims/rrt/Resources /Default.asp.

  • Lesson plans and assessments that match the standards are available at ODE Instructional Management System: http://ims.ode.state.oh.us/ode/ims/Default.asp?bhcp=1.

  • To find district reports or building reports, go to the Ohio Department of Education Home Page at http://ilrc.ode.state.oh.us/Default.asp.

  • To view certification information about yourself or any teacher in Ohio, go to CORE-Educator Information at http://webapp2. ode.state.oh.us/core/Educator_Information/default.asp.

  • To get a look at ALL of your certificates and licenses, go to the Center for Teaching Profession and input your social security number and last name. Visit http://www.ode.state.oh.us/Teaching-Profession/Teacher/Certification_Licensure/certifact.asp.

  • To get information on the No Child Left Behind category of Highly Qualified Teacher, go to http://www.ode.state.oh.us/esea/superintendent/web_docs/Highly_Qualified_Teachers.asp.

Ohio SchoolNet

  • The Home Page for Ohio SchoolNet is located at http://www.osn.state.oh.us. The menu down the left side of the page is pretty inclusive.

  • To submit a proposal to be a presenter at the SchoolNet State Conference or to get information about the conference, go to http://www4.osn. state.oh.us/stateconf2005/index.jsp.

Ohio Resource Center

  • The Ohio Resource Center at http://www. ohiorc.org is a good site for "juried" lessons to fit the standards and much more.
