PBS 45 & 49?s Sharing Art is a curriculum-based project illustrating real artists doing their art and then relating that back to the classroom. As a workshop participant, you will use the programs and curriculum to create your own artwork and take it home with you. You will also receive the teachers guide, online resources and new ideas. Bring your ideas and an old shirt ? things could get messy!

Get information about setting up an oral history project in your classroom. Use the Web to access PBS 45 & 49s lesson plans and information. Learn about interviewing and get a copy of our Speaking of History video, which follows a teacher from day one until the end of the oral history project.

Have you ever wanted to learn about the process of putting together a classroom video from beginning to end? You Be the Producer is a condensed look at the process of creating a video, including brainstorming the idea, writing the treatment, pitching the idea, creating the script, setting up the shoot, filming creatively, editing the scenes and producing the DVD. While the theme for this video workshop session will be ?Peer Pressure and Teenage Drinking,? the ideas can easily be applied to other classroom topics.

Test Quest

Test Quest is a PBS 45 & 49 video-based project built around a cast of characters trying to pass the ultimate challenge: the Ohio proficiency test. Join us for this workshop and receive the Test Quest video and the teachers guide, which includes activities to help "your cast" meet the same objective! Your students will participate in a series of self-discovery exercises that will help them learn to study more effectively and to improve their test-taking strategies.

Dreamweaver provides powerful tools to lay out pages and develop and maintain your Web site. It also simplifies the task of making rollovers and pop-up menus. This flexible Web-building program can be used by beginning and experienced Webmasters. Prerequisite: A basic understanding of computer operation is essential.
