Antarctica Package **FREE** to Workshop Attendees

"The year is 2050. The earth is dangerously overcrowded. You are on a team of scientists commissioned to determine if Antarctica is a place where humans could live."

This is the premise of the simulation section of PBS 45 & 49's newest multimedia package titled Antarctica: 90 Degrees South. The package, directed at students in grades 5-8 and completely standards based, includes five videos; a teachers guide with nine lesson plans; and an extensive Web site that offers help with the simulation, tons of sites to visit and an extensive photo library.

PBS 45 & 49 have a Martha Holden Jennings grant that allows us to give this kit to you FREE OF CHARGE! All you need to do is attend one of the workshops listed below. Eileen Kutinsky, a retired "master science teacher," will present the material.

To register for one of the sessions, call Laura Jarvis at or e-mail her at . We're looking forward to seeing you!
