What Are the Components of TeacherLine?
At the heart of TeacherLine is a series of courses produced by leading educators, education institutions and companies. The modules guide educators toward integrating technology into their learning and teaching. The video-rich, learn-by-doing courses are a combination of content and methodology, accessible via the Internet. They are individualized, self-paced and sequenced at various skill levels.

This is a great professional development resource for those who want to join the truly tech-savvy. Use the Web-based modules whenever and wherever you choose, to support your professional practice and to sharpen your technology skills and knowledge -- and then check in via e-mail and Web-based chat rooms to share ideas with other teachers in the TeacherLine project.

How Do I Take the TeacherLine Courses?
There are several ways courses can be taken. First, for groups of 12 or more teachers, any of the 91 courses can be taken at any time. To set up the course, call PBS 45 & 49 and we will contact the agency. The list of available courses can be accessed at http://www.pbs4549.org/teacher/courses.htm. Secondly, individual teachers can access the current session of classes being offered at the state level. Go to http://teacherline.pbs.org/teacherline/modules/tlcatalog.cfm and select Ohio to see what courses are available. These classes are changed quarterly. Graduate credit through Adams State College is available.

Finally, courses can be taken at the local level. These courses, which are available to individual teachers, are listed in the Session sections of this Web site.
