SchoolNet teams with Ed Techs for 2003 Tech Teacher of the Year Award
Know a teacher who is wired for the 21st century? The Ohio SchoolNet State Technology Conference committee, in conjunction with the state's educational technology (ed tech) agencies, is seeking nominations for an individual to honor as Ohio's Technology Teacher of the Year at the 2003 Ohio SchoolNet State Technology Conference.
In addition to honoring a state recipient, the committee will also select one outstanding technology educator from the remaining seven Ed Tech regions in Ohio.
The 2003 Technology Teacher of the Year will receive a $1,500 cash award to be used for classroom technology. Each of the finalists will receive free registration for the three-day conference taking place Feb. 3-5, 2003.
The selection committee will only accept one nomination per district, and that nomination must come from the district superintendent or the superintendent's designee.

All full-time Ohio-certified K-12 teachers are eligible. The nominations will be evaluated according to the following criteria: consistent use of technology in a teaching discipline; innovative applications of technology to classroom needs; development of instructional materials; instructional impact on teachers and students; and contributions and achievements over and above assigned duties.
Entries must be submitted by Thursday, Oct. 31, 2002 for consideration. All submissions must be submitted electronically at the State Technology Conference web site: http://www.osn.state.oh.us/stateconf.
