PBS 45 & 49 invite students to take the TestQuest
TestQuest is a new video series, online teachers guide and web-based project from PBS 45 & 49 designed to help students in grades 4-6 prepare for and pass the Ohio Proficiency Tests.
In the three-part video series, viewers meet six students who represent a variety of skills, interests and learning styles. These six characters undertake the "ultimate challenge": preparing for and passing the proficiency test.
TestQuest is set up in three modules. Learning Styles helps teachers and students identify the different ways in which students learn. By knowing their individual learning styles, students can adapt their learning and studying techniques to play to their strengths. Study Habits / Time Management helps students set up a routine that best facilitates test preparation and saves them the anxiety of last-minute cramming. Test-Taking Skills helps students use the time limitations imposed under testing conditions to offer their best performance. The programs also cover note-taking, active listening and memory improvement.
The online teachers guide will help you integrate TestQuest into your curriculum, while the web components lead your students through a series of exercises to enhance their skills.
