PBS 45 & 49 add two new series to the PBS KIDS line-up
The Berenstain Bears / Seven Little Monsters
Airdates: Weekdays at 7 am beginning Jan. 7
Educator Rights: 1 Year
Online: http://pbskids.org/berenstainbears/ & http://pbskids.org/sevenlittlemonsters/
For four decades, The Berenstain Bears books have delighted children worldwide and introduced them to a range of important values. Starring Mama, Papa, Brother and Sister, the new PBS KIDS program The Berenstain Bears features a supporting cast of friendly and furry characters that make up the nurturing community of Bear Country. The program airs weekdays at 7 am as part of the half-hour series The Berenstain Bears / Seven Little Monsters.
Seven Little Monsters comes from the imagination of Maurice Sendak, world-renowned author/illustrator of Where the Wild Things Are. Each all-new 15-minute program chronicles the hilarious day-to-day misadventures of seven "little" monsters, who are actually over ten feet tall, as they confront life's challenges and work together as a family.
George Shrinks
Airdates: Weekdays at 4 pm beginning Jan. 6
Educator Rights: 1 Year
Online: http://pbskids.org/georgeshrinks/
George may be only three inches tall, but that's not a problem -- he never sweats the small tasks or shies away from challenges. Although retrieving Mom's ring from the garbage disposal is like a trip to the center of the earth and watering the garden is like journeying down the Amazon, George takes it all in stride, as these and other adventures present ongoing challenges in his very big world. Kids will love the adventures in George Shrinks, airing weekdays at 4 pm beginning Jan. 6. The series is based on the best-selling children's book of the same name by award-winning author/illustrator William Joyce.
