Lighter-than-air enthusiasts share their fond memories and the fascinating history of the blimp. You'll meet the people who populate the blimp's history and learn about the many roles it has assumed over the years. Its gig in the transportation industry was brought to an end by more efficient means of moving products. During World War II, the blimp served military duty in surveillance. Today, the blimp is primarily a promotional vehicle and the unofficial mascot of Akron's skies.
