This series explores the workings of the natural world. Programs are grouped together to study the concepts of communities, adaptation, biodiversity and interdependence. Each episode consists of five distinct segments: 1) "Concept Introduction" covers basic concepts including habitat, adaptation and biomes; 2) "Concept Focus" looks at a particular animal or plant and explores the basic concept presented in the introduction in greater detail as it applies to the subject; 3) "Field Work" features student researchers in the field with scientists and naturalists to explore a component of each episode's concept; 4) "Review" sums up material presented in each program; and 5) "Simply Nature" shares natural footage with no narration to allow students to see and enjoy nature at work.
