PBS 45 & 49s Ready to Learn Workshops

FREE Training and Materials for Child Care Centers and Parent Groups

Join us in exploring how you can use television in more appropriate and educational ways at home or in the classroom.

What does being Ready To Learn mean?
Being ready to learn means that a preschooler has gained many kinds of experiences that have enabled him or her to become successful in school.

How does PBS 45 & 49 feel about Ready To Learn?
We share in your belief that every child should start school ready to learn and achieve basic skills in literacy, math and problem-solving. Television cant and shouldnt do that alone, but it can be a positive tool for learning!

How much do workshops cost?
Theyre FREE! You even receive FREE materials and GREAT door prizes!

What workshops are available?
We offer a variety of workshops for child care providers, educators and parents. Were also able to customize our workshops for your needs. Call Bree Silski at to request a flyer that lists the various available workshops.

Can I receive in-service credit?
Yes, you can even receive in-service credit for Ready to Learn training!
" ODHS " CDA and CDA Renewal Credits available

Where are the workshops?
We will come to your site to conduct the workshop (child care centers, libraries, churches, Head Start, Even Start, etc.). We require that you:
" Have a TV and a VCR available for use.
" Have a group size of 10 or more participants.
