PBS 45 & 49 will welcome Thomas & Friends to the schedule this September with a new season of 13 half-hours that include two new adventures and a classic Thomas the Tank Engine story. Older children will remember the cheeky, fussy little engine named Thomas from the very popular PBS Kids series, Shining Time Station. Joining him in his Thomas & Friends adventures are his true-blue engine friends. Every story finds Thomas and his pals leading the audience on a new adventure with a safe journey home.
Irrepressible 10-year-old twins Maya and Miguel Santos, their loving family and their bilingual pet parrot Paco will unveil their vibrant and uproariously funny world beginning this October on PBS 45 & 49. Always unpredictable and ever dauntless, Maya and Miguel will keep kids laughing at their daily escapades in 65 new half-hour animated episodes of Maya & Miguel. Lively and colorful, this never-a-dull-moment situation comedy revolves around Mayas well-intended meddling in her familys and friends lives. While every episode will take humorous twists and turns, the twins motivation comes from the philosophy that shared happiness is more important than personal gain.
Arthurs best friend, Buster, will soon be hitting the road in his own television show! Postcards From Buster is a new half-hour Arthur spin-off series that will blend animation and live-action footage. In Postcards From Buster, Buster will accompany his airline pilot father as he flies the fictional Latin rock group Los Viajeros on a concert tour of the United States, with forays into Canada, Mexico and Puerto Rico. Buster will stay in touch with his friends back home via a small, hand-held digital video camera. These first-person video postcards will be in the form of live-action footage of the places visited in the show. |
